Ils s\u00e9vissent dans les \u00e9coles, les syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 et les m\u00e9dias. Les enfants vivant dans des corps plus gros courent un risque accru d\u2019intimidation et de discrimination en raison de leur poids. En effet, se faire taquiner ou recevoir des remarques d\u00e9sobligeantes \u00e0 cause de son poids a un impact d\u00e9favorable sur l\u2019estime de soi et la confiance des enfants et augmente le risque de pr\u00e9senter des comportements d\u00e9sordonn\u00e9s, tels que des r\u00e9gimes extr\u00eames et des vomissements provoqu\u00e9s (Puhl et al., 2017).<\/p><p>La stigmatisation li\u00e9e au poids augmente les risques de :<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"standard-arrow list-divider bullet-top\"><ul><li>Taquineries li\u00e9es au poids<\/li><li>Harc\u00e8lement et cyber-harc\u00e8lement<\/li><li>Discrimination et exclusion sociale<\/li><li>Agression physique<\/li><li>Troubles alimentaires<\/li><li>Traumatisme et cons\u00e9quences \u00e0 vie<\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>En tant que moyen d\u2019adaptation, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la stigmatisation li\u00e9e au poids pr\u00e9dit un cercle vicieux de sympt\u00f4mes de troubles alimentaires, d\u2019\u00e9vitement de l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique et d\u2019utilisation des soins de sant\u00e9. Cela a tendance \u00e0 entra\u00eener des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 g\u00e9rer le poids et la prise de poids, ce qui entra\u00eene \u00e9ventuellement une plus grande stigmatisation du poids par les pairs. L\u2019examen le plus complet a regroup\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es de 26 \u00e9tudes et a conclu que les personnes \u00ab en surpoids \u00bb vivaient plus longtemps que celles de poids \u00ab normal \u00bb. (McGee 2005), et que le poids associ\u00e9 au risque de d\u00e9c\u00e8s le plus faible est consid\u00e9rablement sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 l\u2019IMC de 25. (Flegal, K, 2013). Il est \u00e9galement important de noter que le poids fluctue selon les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de la vie, d\u2019autant plus que les enfants prennent en moyenne 25 \u00e0 30 livres (6,5 livres\/an) au cours des 4 ann\u00e9es de pubert\u00e9 (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2014). Cependant, 2 filles sur 3 et 2 gar\u00e7ons sur 5 ont encore peur de prendre du poids (Micali, 2013).<\/p><p>Parler de poids d\u2019une mani\u00e8re neutre reconna\u00eet les indicateurs multidimensionnels de la sant\u00e9. Cela aide \u00e0 diminuer les \u00e9ventuels sentiments de honte et de culpabilit\u00e9 de votre enfant pour ne pas correspondre \u00e0 la norme m\u00e9diatique du \u00ab\u00a0corps parfait\u00a0\u00bb, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 appr\u00e9cier ce que son corps peut faire pour
