Annie is a Registered Dietitian and a member of the Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec.
Annie’s journey began on the ice rink, dedicating fifteen years to mastering figure skating and reaching the Junior competitive level. Although she was extremely passionate about this sport, she noticed the focus on physical appearance and performance took its toll. The culture’s demand for perfection and her increased nutritional needs led to underfueling, impacting her athletic ambitions and personal life.
Seeking to understand nutrition’s role in sports and health, Annie pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences at University of Ottawa. She aspired to bring a knowledgeable and empathetic perspective to sports nutrition.
Annie began her career as a Registered Dietitian in private practice, specifically working in an exercise facility. Although her clients typically consulted her to improve their health or sports performance, she quickly noticed that many had disordered eating patterns and a poor body image – a struggle she knew all too well.
Driven by a strong desire to help her clients, Annie has immersed herself in learning about eating disorders, intuitive eating, Health at Every Size®, and body image and has also applied these teachings to her own life.
Annie works with a variety of eating disorder presentations and athletes of varying sports and levels of competition. She has a particular interest in supporting artistic athletes and guiding individuals through the journey of overcoming disordered eating, breaking the binge-restrict cycle, and addressing purging behaviors.
With a compassionate approach, Annie partners with her clients. Together, they work towards nurturing a positive relationship with food and body image, paving the way for athletic success and a fulfilling life.
Annie is bilingual in English and French and provides insurance receipts.
