I highly, HIGHLY, recommend Sööma to anyone feeling discouraged, stuck, terrified, thinking that their eating disorder will win, or that they’ve “tried everything”. I’ve struggled with ARFID my whole life, and was feeling all of these things with little to no hope left. Like a lost cause. When i first called Sööma, right off the bat the coordinator Leila made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I already felt reassured, and encouraged. I then met Jessica, and felt 0 judgement, completely safe, completely validated, completely heard, completely ready to take this on again. In a way that will be sustainable, with a huge dose of compassion. At Sööma, you can tell everyone isn’t there for show, they actually care, genuinely support you, and make sure you don’t feel alone.

Jessica has been really helpful in supporting me with an eating disorder. I've met with other dietitians and I noticed that Jessica really helped me unpack my relationship with food and body on a deeper level. You can tell she really cares and wants others to feel comfortable and heard. She also integrated some grounding exercises and mindfulness in our work together which has been so helpful in healing my relationship with food.
