Workshops and Presentations
We’ve collaborated with various schools, organizations and sports teams in order to contribute to the prevention of disordered eating and eating disorders in our community. We’ve also provided training for a variety of professionals in order to increase awareness of eating disorders and promote access to evidence-based treatment.
Examples of Topics that we cover
Each workshop is collaboratively designed with your team’s unique goals, challenges, and context in mind. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all content, we work closely with you to understand the specific needs of your group, whether you’re a healthcare team navigating inclusive care practices, a sports organization aiming to foster a weight-neutral environment and increase nutrition awareness for appropriate fueling, or an educational institution promoting prevention and awareness of eating disorders. This customized approach ensures that the workshop is relevant, practical, and aligned with your organization’s values and objectives.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
Fueling for Health and Performance
- Tailored strategies to help athletes at the high school, university, provincial, and international levels optimize nutrition for recovery, performance, and long-term well-being. Workshops address adequate fueling, energy availability, sports specific fueling strategies and building supportive, food-neutral team cultures.
Inclusive nutrition care
- Explore the impact of weight stigma in healthcare and sport, and learn how to promote body diversity through inclusive, trauma-informed and person-centered approaches that respect all body sizes and lived experiences.
Eating Disorder Awareness and Prevention
- Recognize risk factors and early warning signs of disordered eating. We provide tools to support timely, compassionate intervention and help build environments that are food and body neutral and support recovery.
Building Weight-Neutral Sports Environments
Support athletes without using weight as a performance metric. Learn how to shift focus from body size to functional health and skill development to cultivate a safe and empowering athletic experience.
- We guide coaches and leaders in building supportive, food-neutral environments that prioritize long-term psychological and physical well-being.
Nutrition for Neurodivergent Individuals
- Understand how sensory sensitivities, executive functioning challenges, and unique behavioral patterns can affect eating. We share inclusive, adaptable strategies to meet diverse nutritional needs without pressure or shame.
Our workshops empower teams and organizations with the knowledge and tools to foster inclusive, weight-neutral environments that support mental and physical well-being.
