Annyck is a Registered Dietitian with an expertise in the treatment of eating disorders in both private and academic medical center settings. After completing a Bachelors in nutrition and dietetics, Annyck received her Masters in dietetics at McGill University and became a member of the Ordre des diététistes nutritionnistes du Québec (ODNQ).
Annyck moved back to Canada in 2020 after practicing in Washington, DC for three years. During her time there, Annyck worked in private practice and collaborated closely with medical doctors and mental health professionals. She also developed and directed a day program where people of all ages were admitted and treated 20h per week.
Prior to her move to the United States, Annyck worked on an inpatient and outpatient pediatric unit at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Montreal.
She has received specialty training in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Based Treatment (FBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which she uses in her nutrition interventions.
Annyck applies therapeutic modalities and principles of Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating to her nutrition recommendations to assist clients in developing more effective relationships with food and their bodies. Annyck identifies what clients value in order to explore how present behaviors interfere with achieving their goals.
Because of her love of sport, Annyck also has an interest in sports nutrition. Annyck specializes in the treatment of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport, micronutrient deficiencies in sport, and fueling to optimize recovery and performance.
In Annyck’s work, she tries to address emotional and physical vulnerabilities that contribute to ineffective relationships with food. Annyck will assist clients in becoming mindful of how physical, social and emotional aspects of eating can affect food choices and self-confidence. Annyck is bilingual in French and English, works with clients in Canada and the United States and provides insurance receipts.
Annyck also provides professional supervision to several dietitians in the United States and Canada. She is an affiliate member of the School of Human Nutrition at McGill University due to her lectures to dietetic students on the subject of eating disorders as well as her dedication to education through nutrition internships at Sööma. Annyck has also offered training to dietitians specializing in eating disorders through EDRDPro.
