Our therapists under supervised practice are qualified mental health professionals who have completed graduate-level clinical training and provide therapy under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Supervision means they receive guidance and consultation to support their ongoing growth and ensure high-quality care — their supervisor does not attend sessions or have direct contact with clients.

About Deziray
Background
Deziray is currently a Ph.D./Psy.D. candidate in Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal UQÀM). She completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Behavior and Health at Boston University. Alongside her clinical training, her research focuses on the prevention of violence in adolescent dating relationships and sports, as well as the mental well- being and adaptation of adolescent student-athletes.
Deziray completed a clinical practicum at UQÀM’s Centre de services psychologiques, where she conducted psychological assessments with children and adolescents and provided cognitive- behavioral interventions to youth and their parents. She subsequently completed an internship at CHU Sainte-Justine in the Neurology and Oncology departments, where she supported children, adolescents, and their families in coping with the emotional, behavioral, and psychological
challenges associated with complex medical conditions. Her work drew on an integrative approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic, psychodynamic, and play-based interventions.
Â
Deziray also has experience working with adults presenting with concerns related to substance use, depression, and emotional well-being. Her clinical and research interests focus on sport psychology, mental health, eating disorders, and body image. She is passionate about supporting individuals in achieving their well-being goals while fostering a healthier relationship with themselves, their bodies, and their performance.
Approach
Deziray adopts an integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, humanistic, acceptance- and mindfulness-based approaches. Her work is guided by the belief that every individual deserves to be met with compassion, respect, and genuine curiosity. She strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences without fear of judgment. Deziray works collaboratively with clients to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the factors contributing to their current challenges.
